Chongqing University, China School of Journalism and Communication Position: Dean, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor Academic Profile / 学术简介 Professor Tiance Dong is the Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication at Chongqing University, as well as the Director of the Digital Media and Communication Research Institute at Chongqing University. He previously taught at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Sichuan University, and Jinan University. Professor Dong has been recognized with numerous honors, including: South Guangdong Outstanding Teacher (2007), Ministry of Education New Century Excellent Talent, National Publishing Industry Leading Talent (awarded by the General Administration of Press and Publication), and Chongqing Academic and Technology Leader. He has led over ten major research projects, including a Key Project of the Ministry of Education and projects funded by the National Social Science Fund of China. He has published more than 280 academic papers and authored or edited over ten books and textbooks, including Introduction to Communication, The Industrialized Operation of China's Newspaper Industry, Online News Communication, and Issues and Theories: A Collection of Journalism and Communication Essays. His research has earned him three Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Science Achievement Awards, two Guangdong Provincial Social Science Achievement Awards, two Chongqing Municipal Social Science Achievement Awards, as well as journalism awards from Guangdong Province and Chongqing Municipality.
