Professor Elaine Yin Ning Kwok is an art historian and specialist in cross-cultural interaction between Europe and China . She obtained her BA (double majors in Art History and Comparative Literature–Film Studies), MPhil, and PhD in Art History from the University of Hong Kong . Before joining Lingnan University, she taught Baroque art at the University of Hong Kong, and a wide range of Western and Chinese art history subjects for both MA and BA programs at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Lingnan University . Professor Kwok regularly delivers lecture series and public talks for major art institutions such as the Hong Kong Palace Museum, Asia Society Hong Kong Center, and Christie‘s Education . She also serves as Advisor and Approver for the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (Visual Arts) . She has published peer-reviewed articles in major academic journals and reference publications, including the Grove Dictionary of Art, Grove Art Online, Oxford Art Online, and with Oxford University Press . She is currently working on a forthcoming book titled 《歐洲對中國書畫之理解(1600–1850)》 (Hong Kong: Joint Publishing) .
